THERAPY/COUNSELING

Being extremely pragmatic, Brian’s style combines practical, real-life application with scientific theory to create meaningful and lasting behavioral/emotional change. Brian Alsruhe is currently an intern completing the final year of his clinical mental health program at McDaniel college and will be licensed shorty thereafter. Because of his intern status, potential clients will receive reduced rates with twice as much enthusiasm and care.
Brian is also the founder of NEVERsate athletics (an internationally recognized strongman and powerlifting facility that has been rated amongst the top 50 gyms in the nation), has been a strength, nutrition and conditioning coach for almost 30 years, and has accumulated nearly a quarter million followers on his instructional YouTube channel. Brian is also a life coach, mindset coach, business/financial consultant, motivational speaker, has authored over 20 books, and is a 2x Maryland’s Strongest Man title holder.
Additionally, Brian spent a decade working in counterterrorism for the Federal Government and is an avid outdoorsman. His unique and innovative style of combining cognitive health with physical training and mental preparation has proven to be very successful for many individuals who have not experienced much progress through traditional styles of therapy.
In a few months, when Brian’s advanced education is complete, he has plans to establish his own private practice, primarily focusing on trauma, PTSD, and other disorders of despair by utilizing Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Trauma-Informed Care, Sports Psychology and his extensive background in coaching. Brian currently specializes in working with young adult males as well as military, police, fire and EMS personnel.
In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Alena, family, friends and their two Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Carroll County, Maryland where he resides.
